ClimateCHECK and the Southern Research Institute are pleased to announce they have entered a cooperative agreement for providing advisory and verification services for technologies and projects that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to mitigate climate change.
“Southern Research and ClimateCHECK are an excellent complementary team,” said Tim Hansen of the Greenhouse Gas Technology Center at Southern Research. “ClimateCHECK is a leader in GHG standardization and providing advisory and verification services for the GHG marketplace. Southern Research is a leader in technology evaluation, measurement and performance verification, and development of novel and innovative technologies in the greenhouse gas, environmental, and energy sectors.”
“ClimateCHECK and Southern Research working together offer an extensive breadth and depth of competencies across several industries for highly technical performance measurement and conformance with GHG standards and programs to companies who are pursuing project and technology-based solutions to reduce GHG emissions,” said Tom Baumann of ClimateCHECK.
The cooperative agreement enables ClimateCHECK and Southern Research to collaborate in providing advisory and verification services to companies throughout North America based on the new ISO 14064 GHG Standards and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and World Resources Institute (WBCSD/WRI) GHG Protocol for Projects, while also providing highly technical performance measurement to substantiate the viability and impacts of new technologies and selected projects to reduce GHG emissions.
